Does my client need to have a paid subscription?
No, not so that you can manage it. A free listing can also grant you certain rights. However, commission is only charged on payments — a listing without a subscription does not incur commission, as there is nothing to charge commission on.
Can I buy adverts for a client who isn’t on Kude?
Yes. A campaign can link to an external address rather than to a business in the directory. The link is marked as paid and does not pass any weight to the advertiser’s site — a paid link that passes a ranking signal is exactly what Google calls a link scheme.
Who pays for the advert and to whom is the invoice issued?
The person who clicks the button pays. If the agency pays, the invoice is issued to the agency — this is how most agencies operate: they purchase the media and re-invoice it with their own margin.
What happens if a client changes their agency?
Access is revoked by the owner and ceases immediately. The commission for the period during which the client was yours remains payable — it is in recognition of you having brought them in, not for your continued management of their account.
Can a colleague have read-only access?
Yes. The ‘Analyst’ role can view clients and reports but cannot spend any money. It is also the role assigned to the client themselves if they wish to view the information. The financial screens — commissions and invoices — are visible only to the agency manager.
How many customers are needed to reach the next level?
The figures in the table are for guidance only and are not set in stone. The rate increases during negotiations because, for some agencies, the volume is based on advertising rather than the number of businesses.
